Everyone on the planet has choices to make everyday, most of our choices are easy. Today I am going to talk about and focus on people who either vacation a lot or travel a lot for business. They hit the road all the time, they fly the blue skies, they see what the planet has to offer, and it may seem like a glamorous lifestyle. Nothing is glamorous if you are not making the right positive little decisions to do the right things everyday.
I have witnessed people who travel, I have examined what they eat, and let me tell you, it is not the greatest. They hit fast food joints because of the convenience, they grab a candy bar instead of a banana or apple, the need the pop because they were up late and the caffeine is their instant fix. I am here to tell you that the choices you make every day will pile up into this huge heap of health or sickness. Simple little choices like drinking water instead of pop, eating that fruit of vegetable instead of the cookie low calorie pack, and sticking to 70% raw foods instead of processed foods. The traveling business person or vacationer seem to always be on the run, and when it comes time to call it a day, that is exactly what they do. They call it a day and skip the exercise while on the road. This is a simple easy decision that will have a negative impact on their life in the future. Every day they skip exercise, the negative pile gets bigger, soon the cholesterol is high along with the blood pressure and triglycerides. This could have been avoided, they could have made the easy decision to set aside 30 minutes a day to get that exercise in, their pile of bad decisions would now be good decisions and they would have just left the doctors office with great results from their blood work!
What if the place I am staying has no workout facility? What if I do not have a vast knowledge of exercise? What if I do not know how to workout without equipment? What if I need to be told what to do?
There are a couple of ways you can get past this excuse as well as others, and the portable equipment available to you today is simply awesome! The first equipment I will talk about are called resistance bands. You can get a gym in a box and take it with you wherever you go. Watch the video link below and see if it is something for you. If you like it you can pick it up at any store, or find it or something like it online.
The second thing I am going to talk about really gets me excited (and the video for this is 10 times better than the first one) because it can be used with virtually anybody and anywhere. It is called the TRX, this contraption was silly looking to me the first time I encountered it. I laughed in my head and thought, this is not going to be able to touch my level of fitness, this is a JOKE! Seriously, I can lift some heavy weight, how is this swingy strap looking thing going to benefit me? My friend had persisted on how great it was and I decided to give it a shot. My final thought after getting my butt kicked and being sore for 4 days? This is the best, and is now my favorite piece of exercise equipment in the world. You can carry it around in a bag smaller than most purses, you can use it inside, outside, or in the middle of nowhere. There are no excuses not to make those positive easy little choices everyday, to make your future the best that it can be!
